Meet the Team
Abbey House currently has over 100 employees, many working shifts to help provide around the clock care. We are committed to being an equal opportunities employer and pride ourselves in supporting employees to develop personally and professionally.
We have a team of veterinary surgeons some working regularly at one particular clinic and others that work from a number of different locations. We aim to provide appointments at your nearest location with a vet you know or can build a trusting bond with. All vets have to be registered as members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) and have to keep their knowledge up to date by attending regular training, records of which are auditable by the RCVS. We encourage and support our vets to develop their skills and knowledge and most undertake postgraduate qualifications.
Having registered veterinary nurses within the team is essential to support the vets and provide the required standards of care we set. For over 30 years the practice has been a large training centre for VN’s and this remains a priority.
Without the wider team of support staff including the veterinary care assistants, reception, dispensing assistants, admin team, driver, cleaners etc we would not be able to provide the services we do or to the level we do for which we are very grateful.
