Croft House Vets was established in the early 1980’s and became part of Abbey House in 2015 when owner and veterinary surgeon Cath Oakes retired. Most of the other staff remain the same.
The clinic is situated with easy access on Soothill lane in Batley with plenty of free parking on site. They have their own operating facilities so many day procedures can be carried out on site without the need to transfer patients to Morley.
It has 3 vets, 2 of whom work at other branches as well as at Batley, 3 qualified nurses, a student nurse and 3 auxiliary nurses.
At our Morley Vets Hospital we have staff on site 24 hours a day 365 days of the year. If you are concerned about your pet or are unsure if it is an emergency then please ring us for advice on 0113 252 5818. On rare occasions if the staff onsite are unable to answer the call due to dealing with another emergency we have an answer phone system which is constantly monitored. Please leave a message and staff will call you back.
Trudi has a veterinary degree from the University of Bristol, and has been part of the Kippax team since the clinic opened in 2007. During the past 10 years she has developed her interest in rabbit medicine and surgery and now provides veterinary care to rabbits over a wide area of Yorkshire. Her other main interest is feline medicine. In her spare time she looks after her house-rabbit and 3 cats.
Claire has worked in Vet practice since 1994 joining the Croft House team in 2005 . Claire is a regular foster carer for cats protection.
Agata qualified from Poznan University of Life Sciences in Poland in 2017 and has been working in the UK since 2019. Agata has relocated to Leeds from Northumberland to join the veterinary team at Abbey House in October 2022.
Sophia joined Abbey House in March 2023 as a Patient Care Assistant but hopes to one day become an RVN. At home she has a dog called Scruffy and two cats named Blue and Kit-Kat.
