Victoria Spalding
Msc, MSCP, ACPAT, Cat A

Victoria qualified as a chartered Physiotherapist in 1992. She initially practised in the human field but since 1997 has worked exclusively with companion animals, acquiring an MSc in veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College in 2002, passing with merit.

She has also been equine physiotherapist to the British Equestrian Team since 2007 and travelled with the team in 2008 and 2012 Olympic games.

Victoria heads a practice of Physiotherapists who are all Chartered, members of ACPAT (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy) and regulated by RAMP (Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners).

Victoria and her team have a wide experience of orthopaedic and neurological conditions and employ manual therapies, laser, ultrasound, hydrotherapy, gait re-education, electrical stimulation and TENS in their management.

Appropriate cases for referral include:

  • Patients requiring rehabilitation after surgery such as those that have had cruciate repairs, patella luxations, tendon injuries etc.
  • Those with sports injuries or neck and back pain.
  • Neurological diseases such as degenerative myelopathy, central or peripheral nerve injuries, fibrocartilaginous embolization etc
