Abbey House, Kippax opened in June 2007. The branch was extended in September 2008 to include an operating theatre, x-ray and laboratory facilities. Pets admitted at the Kippax and Rothwell branches for routine operations such as neutering or dentals are treated at Kippax.
The clinic now has three receptionists, a veterinary nurse and veterinary surgeon.
There is free parking both on the roadside in front of the clinic and also in a car park to the rear of the premises.
At our Morley Vets Hospital we have staff on site 24 hours a day 365 days of the year. If you are concerned about your pet or are unsure if it is an emergency then please ring us for advice on 0113 252 5818. On rare occasions if the staff onsite are unable to answer the call due to dealing with another emergency we have an answer phone system which is constantly monitored. Please leave a message and staff will call you back.
Trudi has a veterinary degree from the University of Bristol, and has been part of the Kippax team since the clinic opened in 2007. During the past 10 years she has developed her interest in rabbit medicine and surgery and now provides veterinary care to rabbits over a wide area of Yorkshire. Her other main interest is feline medicine. In her spare time she looks after her house-rabbit and 3 cats.
Jane joined the practice in January 2000 working at the Rothwell surgery, then moved to Kippax surgery shortly after it opened after having her daughter.
She has 5 ponies, 1 dog, 1 cat, 2 Guinea Pig’s, coldwater fish and lot’s of free range laying hen’s and bantams.
Fiona works at our Rothwell and Kippax clinics. She qualified in 1987 and has a wide experience of all aspects of small animal medicine. She has worked at Abbey House since August 1995.
Sabine has worked at Abbey House since October 2004. She currently works every Saturday at the hospital in Morley.
Lesley qualified in 2010 and has also completed the ISFM feline diploma in feline nursing.
Lesley joined the practice initially as part of the insurance processing team and then returned in October 2021 working as a nurse at the Kippax clinic
At home all Lesley’s animals are named after Disney characters, Mia, Willow (2 Labradors), Belle and Nala (cats)
