Abbey House Vets COVID-19 (coronavirus) 16th June update

We are delighted to be able to inform you the Cleckheaton clinic is now open and the Rothwell clinic will reopen on Thursday 18th June.

In the same way we have been working at the Morley, Kippax and Batley clinics we will be able to welcome patients for vaccinations, urgent appointments and to collect prescriptions. Prescriptions can be collected Monday – Friday from the branch clinics and after 2pm from the Rothwell clinic.

To comply with social distancing rules and to keep everyone safe, all clinics are working in smaller teams and we are unable to allow clients into the practice with their pets. Our initial consultations continue to be over the telephone but if the vet feels it necessary to physically examine your pet then an appointment will be made. It is important to have a mobile phone with you, to call us when you have arrived and for the vet to discuss the consultation.

We feel this is still an essential way of working to protect us all, we see a lot of patients  during the course of a day and a lot of clients, pets and staff members share a relatively small space, we do not want to put anyone at risk and therefore feel this system is best at the moment. In the background we are working hard to find ways we can get back to our normal way of working and we will be ready and waiting to welcome you back in through our doors as soon as soon as we can.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.
