Female sparrow hawk makes an amazing landing

We were lucky enough last week to have contact with a beautiful bird of prey. She had been brought in by a member of the public having crashed through a pane of double glazing. Despite being very stunned there were as you can see, hardley any external wounds on her. Over the next few days she became more fiesty and interested in her surroundings but wouldn't eatthe day old chicks we offered. As a result she was crop fed over this period and then taken to a rehabilitation centre in North Yorkshirefrom where she will be released.

It was fantastic to have such a bird at the practice and hope that all goes well for her eventual return to the wild.
